Established in 1989, Bent and Curved Glass Pty Ltd (BCG) is a company located in Sydney, supplying various types of laminated and vacuum bent tempered glass products for commercial and residential buildings throughout Australia for more than 30 years.
The collaboration between LandGlass and Bent and Curved Glass started 5 years ago when Mr. Joe Finn of BCG was searching for suitable glass tempering furnaces for their new facility. BCG has always had stringent requirements regarding the quality of its glass products, and was especially so to the new tempering furnaces it planned to acquire. In order to locate ideal tempering furnaces, Mr. Joe Finn spent four years visiting glass-tempering furnace manufactories around the world. After comparing the product quality of these furnaces and their energy consumption rates, Mr. Joe Finn decided to purchase the JetConvection Bent Glass Tempering Furnace from LandGlass. The furnace was installed in BCG’s new factory and put into production in 2014.
Equipped with LandGlass’s tempering furnace, Mr. Joe Finn believes that BCG has successfully acquired the ability to manufacture 3300mm x ARC2500mm, Low-E (E=0.013) soft coated, bent tempered glass. It can now also make 3300mm x 4200mm top-quality flat tempered glass with thickness ranging from 5mm to 19mm. The newly acquired capacities have fulfilled the strategic needs for BCG’s business development. As the managing director at BCG, the collaboration with LandGlass has made Mr. Joe Finn very happy. The excellence of LandGlass’ equipment and technology, as well as the thoughtful and timely services offered by LandGlass, has impressed him deeply. Backed by LandGlass’ support, he is totally confident in the future development of the company. Mr. Finn also said that as the Chairperson of Australian Glass Glazing Association National Conference, he believes that this bent glass tempering furnace, with its superior capability in manufacturing oversized bent tempered glass, will not only improve the production capacity and product quality of BCG, but also stimulate the development of the architectural glass industry throughout Australia.
