How does a position limit switch work?

Source: LandGlass  Attention: 1375  Published: 2018-04-19
Also known as limit switch, it is a type of low current electric command device often used for position detection control. When a moving object comes into contact with an actuator, the device operates the contacts to make or break an electrical connection, causing the mechanical moving object to automatically stop, reverse, change speed or cycle in a certain direction or within a certain range.
