What is the cost structure of a glass tempering furnace?

Source: LandGlass  Attention: 1946  Published: 2017-07-05

What is the cost structure of a glass tempering furnace?

1. Material cost.

A glass tempering furnace can be divided into two major systems: mechanical system and electrical system. The mechanical system consists of steel base and enclosure, thermal insulation materials, ceramic rollers and other machined parts while the electrical system includes different types of driving motors, high temperature blowers, tempering blowers, controllers of various kinds, inverter, PLC, encoders, and electric components in the electrical cabinet.

Each glass tempering furnace manufacturer uses different product designs and components. The cost, therefore differs accordingly. For instance, although the products may share the same name “forced convection glass tempering furnace”, the structural designs could be very different.

Different prices for different parts adopted by each glass tempering furnace manufacturer lead to different cost of the equipment. For example, PLC (programmable logic controller) is the key controller of the glasstempering furnace. One may choose from PLCs made by Siemens, OMRON, or Mitsubishi. All these PLCs have different specifications and prices.

2. Labor costs for glass tempering furnace operation.
Different personnel costs play a major part, where wages, fringe benefits, and regional labor cost adjustments are all decisive factors.
3.Other costs.

Other costs such as R&D, maintenance, and upgrading are also components in the total cost structure of a glass tempering furnace.

For these reasons, cost varies from company to company. Buyers should conduct a careful analysis before procurement.
